John Mayer paid for Bob Saget’s body to be flown home after death in Florida

There's nothing John Mayer won't do for his late friend Bob Saget.

According to People, the seven-time Grammy winner "arranged and paid for a private plane to transport" Saget's body back to his home in California after the beloved 65-year-old actor and comedian was found dead at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 9.

Mayer and comedian Jeff Ross previously went live on Instagram while driving Saget's car home from LAX:

Mayer, 44, has posted several tributes to Saget as he tries to process his grief.

Mayer performed — and gave a speech — at Saget's 2018 wedding to Kelly Rizzo. The two first met around 2003 when the "Full House" star asked Mayer to perform at one of his many benefits for the Scleroderma Research Foundation (h/t Q104.3) and developed an enduring bond.

Saget's official cause of death has not been revealed, but an initial autopsy confirmed "no evidence of drug use or foul play." Learn more below.
