Hey guys! I'm here in India playing in the FIBA Asian Championships. Here is some video from our day off. Hope you enjoy. And let me apologize ahead of time for my squeaky voice. I've been yelling a lot on the court. Hope it's not too annoying, haha.
yes, all my teammates speak english. and we do get along very well. some people treat going overseas like being a hired gun. but whenever i go i try to blend in and get to know everybody. it's more fun that way and the people appreciate it.
Thanks for the videoblog, it was enjoyable to watch. Your teammates seem nice, you get to travel to various places...not a bad career choice :) I like the contest idea to get rid of the items you have no use for. Maybe you'll start a trend among athlete bloggers as sort of a fan appreciation thing heh I don't know. Anyhow, your blog is one of only a few I check on a regular basis, keep up the good work.
looks like fun. how exactly does an american play on someone else's national team? i know chris kaman played for germany due to 'german heritage'. and jr henderson plays for japan, he renounced his american citizenship and changed his name. are there some weird bylaws for international play that allow non-citizens to play for a national team?
teams can get a player nationalized very quickly to play for their national team. i didn't have to renounce my american citizenship or i wouldn't have done it. i don't think there are any bylaws. i just have two passports now. =)
We really enjoyed this! It is so nice that you got a sightseeing tour during the tournament. It would be a shame to go to India and only see the inside of a gym. I am not surprised to see how much your teammates like you, but it is heartening to see anyway. Have fun! Kick butt!
